So first of all, we have to know, what is computer science and engineering?
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a combination of two fields which are Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
EIS is a general topic that deals with computer hardware and software. It covers a variety of computer-related topics, such as abstract analysis of algorithms, formal grammars, and subjects such as programming languages, program design, computer software and hardware. Includes software design (compilers, operating systems), hardware design (RAM, CPU, etc.). In other words, this is the study of computers that provides information about hardware and operating systems for, for example, registers, multitasking kernels, data buses, address buses, etc. This branch of engineering is the study of the principles of computing that helps an individual understand how computers solve problems. As an IT professional, a person can find work in many academic, research, industrial, government, private, and business settings. The role of the computer engineer is to analyze problems to find solutions, formulate and test, work in product development teams, multimedia teams and much more. After taking a course in Computer Science, one can do research in various areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Design and Engineering, Computer Architecture, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Theory, Operating Systems and Networks and software applications.
At CSE, we study the engineering principles that go into the design, engineering, development, integration, and testing of a computer system at nearly every level. This branch of engineering also involves applied areas of mathematics and science, electrical and electronic theory, materials engineering, and programming fundamentals. Computer science and engineering students will learn basic engineering techniques, like other engineering students, during the first year of the course. These techniques include mathematical, physical and chemical engineering and engineering drawing. From the second year they are exposed to basic computer science subjects such as programming, data structures, digital logic, theoretical computing, algorithms, computer networks, operating systems, web technologies, databases and computer architecture, they are few to mention. CSE is related to the invention and development of software and hardware.
This is really an excellent field for opportunities both in software companies and in higher education. Since computer science is widely applied to almost all walks of life, it created massive jobs for CSE students. At the same time, increased demand and application kept research funding alive and attracted many students to opt for higher education.
